Beginner Seminar
This is a free seminar open to the public that the club is able to offer because of the generous sponsors that support the annual funding. The seminar is geared towards the beginner grower to provide a strong foundation on getting started and growing through your first few years. The Beginner Seminar will be Saturday February 1 st 2025.
Advanced Seminar
The Advanced Seminar is open to all club members. There will be a few veteran growers and industry experts to share their knowledge and answer detailed questions you might have. Give Tim Parks a big thank you for buying your lunch at this one! March 15th 2025
Patch Tour
Save the date for the last Saturday in July and come along on this fantastic trip to tour veteran growers giant pumpkin patches. Ask lots of questions to fellow growers, have a complimentary lunch and fellowship. Open to members only.
Weigh-Off October 11, 2025
Ohio Valley Giant Pumpkin Grower’s Board of Directors welcomes you to the 2024 World Weigh-Off. We will need Pre-Registration by October 9 th 2025 5 pm. and paid membership dues before the weigh-off are required to qualify for prize money. Pre-Drop off is Friday October 10, 2024 4-6 pm. Parks Garden Center. Morning of Weigh-Off drop off begins October 11, 2025 at 7 am. We will be starting the event approximately 10 am. We are announcing upgrades to our event. We have thousands of dollars of new prize money for all eligible pumpkins weighed over 2000 pounds. Our sponsors will display Ford Trucks and Tractors with implements available for purchase. We will be hosting the first ever pot luck TAILGATE PARTY across the street by the large scale. Vehicles will line up and share the feast. Bring covered dish, place setting and a lawn chair to fellowship.
